Hope everyone had their black-eyed peas (for luck) and greens (for money) today. If you haven't had them yet, there's still time!!! We went to Johnny Reb's. They have the best "Southern" cooking so that's where we head when I need my back home "fix".
1) Barry ended up in the emergency room in Hays, KS with a 6mm kidney stone that had to be surgically removed.
2) Sherry (my friend we were staying with) ended up in the emergency room because she sliced off the tip of her finger while slicing potatoes using a mandolin. (I told her to use the guard.)
3) I ended up with the stomach flu while still in Hays.
4) We drove home through wind, rain and snow after being gone a week longer than we expected - due to the illnesses.
5) RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN here in sunny CA.
6) We had a leak in our living room ceiling - see #6.
7) Ended up taking mom to the emergency room with a 4mm kidney stone. WHAT???? Okay, so I had one while we were in VT visiting, Amy had one in November, Barry had his while in Hays and now mom. None of us had ever had one before.
So, here's hoping that 2011 will be WAY better than 2010 ended!!!
We are definitely in for a FAR better 2011!!!! You are really on it today...already been to Johnny Reb's? Good for you!!
